Mother

Mother

Mother –
She never complains when I wake her at midnight. When my brain is running away with thoughts and problems, while hers was chasing dreams and sleep.
She never complains when I’m being difficult. When I don’t take the advice I asked for, but come to realise, somewhat slowly, that she’s right.
She never complains about life when it hasn’t turned out like she imagined. When problems keep arising and all I can do is watch and try to comfort in some sort of pitiful way.
She never complained when people tried to say she was worth less than what was already low. When she fought with others in the same position and won against those who don’t know what they’re on about.
Because she is worth so much more than what she has now.
She is worth a million nights of uninterrupted sleep, trust in her advice, self-fixing problems and she is definitely worth more than what others think of her – good or bad.
