Hardwear beauty – brush roll post
I first came across Hardwear beauty when I saw an Instagram post by actress Holland Roden promoting their brush rolls. As a fan, I’m always interested to see what projects Holland is working on, so I decided to check out just what Hardwear beauty is and I’m so happy I did.
‘Hardwear beauty is a beauty tools and accessories line started by celebrity makeup artist Elle Leary…Holland is the ambassador for the line…’, as stated on their website Hardwearbeauty.com.
Together, with Elle’s 13+ years of experience and their years of friendship, they produce videos and other content that not only advertise their company but also engage with their followers.
That’s why, on a personal level, I love and want to support Hardwear beauty.
As a teenager, I loved to experiment with makeup, (though I probably used too much eyeliner) and different styles, (I definitely wore too much black).
However, as I got older, my depression got worse and things I once liked doing became boring and I just didn’t care. I became self-conscious of how I looked and didn’t want to draw attention to myself.
Over the years, I have had times I’ve loved makeup again, but nothing like when I was a teenager. I’ve watched some other YouTubers and companies that produce makeup tutorials and videos but they haven’t really appealed to me. However, after watching Headwear beauty’s first video ‘Pop of colour – Summer ready…’ I couldn’t wait to see what Elle would do next. I loved how the look was different, something I definitely would have done as a teenager.
Though Elle and Holland have been making videos for only a few months, I’ve found myself not only looking forward to their new content but also wanting to recreate the looks and experiment with makeup again.
Of course, makeup doesn’t fix my depression. There are still times I dislike how I look and all I want to do is stay in bed and not deal with people.
But I’m just happy that I’m once again getting excited about something I used to love and because of that I couldn’t wait to treat myself to a small brush roll available from the Hardwear beauty website. Though I may have to invest in the large brush roll soon as my collection of makeup and tools are expanding again.
The brush rolls are ‘100% made in the USA, super soft and durable vegan material and washable.’ (Hardwearbeauty.com)
Another aspect of Hardwear beauty I like is the feeling of community, or family as it’s described on their website.
It’s evident that Elle and Holland care about their followers, taking the time to read and answer any comments left. Holland has also done several live streams, talking not only about Hardwear beauty but other subjects, such as documentaries she enjoys and answering fan questions.
I’m really enjoying being part of the Hardwear beauty family and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
